The Abtswind carol singers have become loyal supporters of Mix for Kids, with the group’s children and teenagers collecting donations for the charity for the fourth year in a row. As is tradition to mark Epiphany on January 6, the youngsters split into two groups and paraded through the town (whose population is 850) dressed as the Three Wise Men, bringing with them a Christian blessing for the New Year into the community’s homes. The singers also made a second appearance two days later at the town’s New Year reception, which was hosted by the mayor. This year, local pastor Beate Krämer was able to present Mix for Kids with a record-breaking sum of 1,300 euros!
