As the name suggests, this was an event for young and old alike: the multi-generational festival in Wiesentheid, Germany, drew its fair share of visitors interested in the diverse program on offer in the center of town. Music, dance, painting and culture were all on the agenda, as were the fitness and leisure activities offered by a range of associations and institutions. In between these were a number of sales and information stands – a great opportunity for Mix for Kids to show and tell the public what it does.

With balloons and lollipops for the kids and teas and spices for the adults, not to mention a quiz game and fun facts about the work of the non-profit association, the Mix for Kids stand had plenty of visitors. While gray skies threatened to dampen the mood from time to time, the team on the stand, including Paula Torres Londoño, Mathias Wenzel, Michael Kämmerer, Gertraud Mix and Silke Wurlitzer, remained unfazed. Plus, with more than 100 euros donated for aid projects in India, Albania and Germany, the stand certainly paid off.
