Following on from last year’s success, nothing could stand in the way of a repeat! For the second year running, the Mix for Kids Soccer Day was a huge win for the sixty excited children who were treated to a day of soccer on the TSV Abtswind pitch. While 30-degree temperatures (85+ Fahrenheit) made for a hot day, the results were still positive, with a total of 1175 euros collected in donations for Mix for Kids.

Dribbling, passing, shooting: the young soccer fans were given ample opportunities to demonstrate their talent at several stations, competing against one another to determine the winners! Players from TSV Abtswind hosted the free activity day for the youngsters and were on hand to provide tips and tricks to help the children fine tune their soccer skills. Meanwhile, volunteers from the soccer club, which has partnered with Mix for Kids since 2020, sold food and drinks to raise extra cash, while a number of sponsors donated a fantastic selection of prizes for a raffle. Not to mention the donation cans, which certainly served their purpose! Ultimately, all proceeds from the event went to Mix for kids.

Organizer Adrian Dußler from TSV Abtswind was thrilled with how everything turned out: “It was an incredible day with great fun had all round.” Sounds like we can expect a rematch next year!
