Lichterspektakel in der historischen Altstadt von Prichsenstadt

For one evening, an atmospheric sea of lights transformed the historic old town of Prichsenstadt in Germany, drawing huge crowds to the Prichsenstadt leuchtet, or Prichsenstadt glows, event. Hundreds of candles on the street made for a twinkling atmosphere and set a sparkling tone for the event, which included an early holiday market and artistic performances.

Long lines formed at the stalls, and patience was in order! At the Mix for Kids stall, volunteers Gertraud Mix, Silke Wurlitzer, Sabine Schmidbauer, Tanja Keim and Manuela Knollmeier certainly had their hands full! The group had waffle makers to bake fresh waffles, served with powdered sugar, whipped cream, cherries, sauces and sprinkles galore. The sweet treats proved so popular that the team were all out in just a few hours!

“Sold out!” was the name of the game at the Mix for Kids stand. In total, the team sold 350 waffles. Children visiting the stand were also delighted to receive glow sticks, rings and hair ties to help them shine in the dark. Luckily, all the hard work paid off: Mix for Kids raised 1,000 euros – a neat sum to help children where it is most needed. All in all, Prichsenstadt and everyone in it simply glowed!
