“We’ll support your organization with our wine,” said winemaker Michael Krauß and spent two months selling bottles of wine for good causes in his wine shop. The 23-year-old donated one euro per bottle to a number of Abtswind-based non-profit organizations. As one of the beneficiaries of the wine-fueled campaign, Mix for Kids received 100 euros – not in the form of a symbolic check as is usually the case when donations are presented, but in the form of a bottle of white wine with a specially designed label. What made the initiative of the Abtswind winery unique was that customers at the wine shop could choose which organization would receive their one-euro donation.
