New ideas and projects that will continue to provide concrete help in 2026

Mix for Kids general meeting: Further support for children in need approved
This year’s Mix for Kids general meeting took place on 28 October. By attending, association members not only receive information about the charitable association’s work over the past year, but can also have a say in how the association’s finances will be used in the coming year and which projects will be supported within what financial framework.
Of course, as was the case at this year’s general meeting on 28 October, there is always plenty of opportunity for members to ask questions addressed to the association’s board and put forward their own suggestions.
First, the project managers responsible presented a review of the activities with which Mix for Kids has already helped children in need in Albania, India, South Africa, Ukraine and also in Germany this year.
For children in need: Project partners from Albania to Germany to South Africa
It was unanimously agreed that the long-standing project partners will continue to receive funding from the association in 2026. This means that the courses and educational programs offered by the project partners in Vadodara, India, will continue to give children and young people the chance to lead independent lives in the future. In Albania, donations will benefit children with autism who receive targeted support at a school in Shkodra. In addition, the association will continue to support the provision of healthy meals to children in care homes in South Africa, and in Germany it will once again support a children’s home and a leisure facility for children in 2026.
- In addition, the permanent project partners will receive an additional Christmas donation.
- The income and donations that Mix for Kids generates throughout the year through campaigns in the Franconian region will be used to support additional projects for children in need.
- Some members directly submitted specific proposals for projects in Germany. The funding requirements of the institutions in question are currently being clarified.
‘This general meeting was a complete success – effective, inspiring and full of new ideas,’ summarises Sabine Schmidbauer, secretary and treasurer of the Mix for Kids association, with satisfaction.
Particularly pleasing was the large number of ideas and project proposals put forward, all of which pursue a common goal: to provide targeted help to children in need and improve their living conditions in the long term. In the coming year, the association will continue to allocate funds with great care and responsibility in order to give these children new prospects and hope.
