Donations instead of gifts: 8,000 euros Christmas donation for Mix for Kids

Kräuter Mix transforms holiday gifts and employee treats into donations for children in need
A locally grown Christmas tree, a gourmet hamper, a restaurant or spa voucher? Or how about a 50-euro charitable donation in place of the traditional company gift? 2024 once again saw many of the Kräuter Mix team opt to forego their holiday treat from the company, instead donating their share to the non-profit Mix for Kids, raising a total of 3,000 euros in the process.
But that’s not all: several years ago, the Abtswind-based company made the decision to stop giving out holiday gifts to its business partners – a decision that has been met with widespread support, not least as the money saved is also donated to the association Mix for Kids. Together with the employee donations, the combined total reached an impressive 8,000 euros, every cent of which will go to helping children in need across Germany, Albania, India and South Africa.
“We can be confident that the money we and our employees donate really does reach children and young people in need because the Mix for Kids coordinators always make sure to visit the project partners and their work in person to monitor progress on the ground and maintain direct contact,” emphasized Silke Wurlitzer, managing director at Kräuter Mix, speaking at the symbolic handover for the donation check to the association.
The handover ceremony was attended (from right to left) by Silke Wurlitzer on behalf of the Kräuter Mix board of management, Tina Kautler, marketing & corporate communications, Sabrina Klinger from HR and Sabine Schmidbauer, Mix for Kids’ treasurer and secretary.
