Since the Mix for Kids association was founded in 2018, Silke Wurlitzer has been active as a founding member and first chairperson, breathing life into the association and actively supporting the children’s aid projects that Mix for Kids continues to support to this day.

We very much regret that Silke Wurlitzer has stepped down as chairwoman as of 12 January 2025. However, the association’s ability to act remains assured, as the previous second chairman, Bernhard Mix, will now lead it on an interim basis until the next election at the next general meeting.

We sincerely thank Silke Wurlitzer for her commitment in cooperation with our project partners, whether for the children in a school in Albania, at the Don Bosco Education Centre in Vadodara, India, or in children’s homes in South Africa and Germany.

Thanks to the stable foundation that Silke Wurlitzer has created together with the board team and many active members, the association is well positioned for the future. She will remain associated with the association as a member.
