Christian Renz certainly knows his trade – after all, he’s been at it since 1994 when the fully qualified tiler set up his own business in Großlangheim, Germany. Today the company not only lays tiles and natural stone but also works on bathroom renovations and new builds. After 30 years in the business, it was time for the company to celebrate!

Christian Renz and his wife Carmen invited family, friends and business partners to the event where the guests joined the Renz family in the tiler’s warehouse for an evening of fun. But the 57-year-old had made a special request in advance: no gifts. Instead, the entrepreneur set up a donation box, an idea that went down very well indeed.

After the event, Christian and Carmen Renz were able to present 600 euros to board member Gertraud Mix for Mix for Kids’ aid projects for children. Proof, as the saying goes, that a trade in hand really does find gold in every land. “The donation was of enormous value to me,” said Christian Renz, who is himself a member of Mix for Kids.
