$6,000 Raised for Four Support Projects

Proceeds from Kräuter Mix’s Nature Experience Day and apprentice project to be distributed as donations
This year, the proceeds from several fundraising activities held in support of Mix for Kids in 2026 will benefit four social projects, as well as children and families facing financial challenges.
Both the organizers of the Mix for Kids Nature Experience Day, held in early September, and the three apprentices and dual-study students responsible for this year’s Mix for Kids Apprentice Project at Kräuter Mix carefully selected the recipients. Their goal was to provide children and young people with meaningful support in their daily lives and create opportunities for special experiences.
The donations were raised through a variety of initiatives, including the raffle held during the Kräuter Mix Family Festival, an ice cream fundraising campaign at the company in July, and proceeds from the Nature Experience Day. In addition, Mix for Kids contributed further funding from its ongoing charitable resources. Together, these efforts generated a total of $6,000, which was divided equally into four donations of $1,500 each.

One of the recipients is Eva-Maria Menghin and her family. Eva-Maria, who lives in Austria’s Ötztal Valley, has Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that presents numerous daily challenges. The donation will help finance essential assistive equipment and other practical support, easing some of the burden on her family.
Another grant of $1,500 will support Julienne Bitti in purchasing specialized color-filter glasses, educational aids, and additional everyday support tools. Julienne, who has autism and Down syndrome, experiences heightened sensitivity to certain light frequencies that affect her visual perception. The glasses will help reduce these difficulties and enable her to navigate daily life with greater independence.
A further $1,500 has been awarded to the St. Alban Children’s Home in Dießen am Ammersee, Germany. The funds will be used to purchase a therapeutic swing, equip the facility’s exercise room, and provide additional sports equipment for the children.
The Erich Kästner Children’s Village in Oberschwarzach will also receive $1,500. The organization plans to use the donation to organize outings to a swimming pool and a bowling center, giving the children enjoyable opportunities for recreation and variety. The funding will also help purchase two long-awaited new go-karts.

The funds raised will be divided among four support projects.
We would like to thank the Kräuter Mix apprentices for their commitment and everyone who supported the Nature Experience Day. These donations make a valuable contribution toward providing children and young people with greater support, new opportunities, and more moments of joy in what are often challenging everyday circumstances.
