On top of ensuring food security, equal opportunities and education with its aid projects, Mix for Kids is committed to promoting team sports. The sport of choice for the children and teenagers in the Mix for Kids sports groups is soccer – which they play with great enthusiasm.

In Vadodara, India, 60 boys and 30 girls from the shantytowns are receiving quality training under the supervision of professional coaches. The children from the Snehalaya children’s home practice regularly and take part in sporting competitions. This allows them not only to become both physically and mentally stronger but also to learn key game values, such as team spirit, fairness, tolerance and discipline.

To ensure that the budding footballers are properly kitted out for training and matches, Mix for Kids has donated green uniform shorts, socks and jerseys – just like the professionals play in, with numbers on the back and the club logo on the chest. Mix for Kids hopes that the boys and girls from Vadodara will have many victorious, and above all injury-free, games in their new sportswear!
